The Heart Behind the Words
I have always been a creative spirit at heart. Whether I’m weaving words into a story or crafting with flowers and mesh, I find joy in the act of making something new. My life is a collection of roles that I wear with pride: I am a wife, a mother of two incredible boys—including a resilient special needs child and a brave USMC Marine Veteran—and a firm believer in the power of "the village."
Living in the beautiful coastal air of North Carolina, you’ll often find me at the beach, soaking up the sun, or at the kitchen table lost in a puzzle, a card game, or a plan to playfully annoy my husband and children.
My path hasn't always been easy. As a domestic violence survivor, I’ve learned that the most beautiful things are often forged in the hardest fires. This journey of resilience is what fuels my writing and my passion for helping others find their own voice. I believe that our past doesn’t define us—it prepares us.
Beyond the creative "storm," I find my calm in structure and leadership. With a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, I’ve spent my career navigating complex projects and mentoring others. I am a lifelong learner who loves teaching people new things and helping them unlock their full potential. For me, there is no greater reward than seeing a friend, a colleague, or a reader find their "aha!" moment.
Let’s Connect
I love meeting new people and sharing stories. Whether it’s about writing, leadership, the chaotic beauty of motherhood, or just a really good DIY project, I’m glad you’re here.
Let’s be stronger than the storm, together.
